I have this old forced air furnace here, the brand is Airco.. don;'t know what model and age, anyone seen one of thse before ?
Anyone think it was installed good or bad ?
When this thing turns on, the burners fire up and makes a deep whoosh sound
Then the flames are big .. i will upload a video to youtube or something

I see those all the time, usually on the back of an '82 ford pickup headed to the scrap yard  Almost no install detail can be seen by looking at this system from here. I advise a "top to bottom" inspection by a company who knows their stuff and aint afraid to prove it!

yah we just need to get enough money to get a 90+ furnace.
the old one is really inefficient.
but if we are gonna replace the furnace, do they need to change that gas pipe coming out of the wall to a smaller size ?

What Delta-T said. My neighbor has one of these, and constantly talks about replacing it. Unfortunately, he lives next door to an HVAC guy who can fix anything, and who will gladly accept deer meat as payment!

I would suggest changing that unit you save anywhere from 30-50% on your gas bill, you also have an issue with fresh air and gas mixture. Your furnace should not be making a whoosh noise when it starts up.
