I recently noticed that my furnace's burners keep cycling on and off in short intervals. The blower will remain on during the time the burners are cycling. I know nothing about furnaces so any help would be appreciated. My furnace is a forced air induced gas furnace. I have replace the draft inducer last year. I would imaging the furnace is about 6 years old. I use an electronic thermostat.
I have read about a limit switch, but I am not sure if my furnace even has one?

clogged filter? other than that better get it checked over by a service tech, could have heat exchanger problems with that comfortmaker.

I recently noticed that my furnace's burners keep cycling on and off in short intervals. Could be a flame sensor if its very short cycles or a high temp sensor going bad, or a pressure switch or a circuit board failing ...or ?? this is why beyond replacing filters you should really call a tech.

tech just stopped by the house. Turns out there was some water in the hose from the draft inducer to the pressure sensor. He shook the hose out. Shook out the water from the sensor, $82 later, it all appears to be working correctly.

glad to hear it was simple. Could have been much worse. Yearly cleanings will help prevent that, and may catch dangerous situations ahead of time.
