Is Mr. Rockwell's assessment correct? Just take these few ideas from the article--

"No matter how dreadful the president is, conservatives fear the alternative more."

Does conservative support for Republicans lead to cognitive dissonance?

Have conservatives been willing to give up their entire domestic agenda?

Conservative principles are those of the founding fathers. Unfortunately, the nation and the Republican Party have strayed from the original intent of America. Reform is needed as a return to common sense.

Great post Doc. I never could stand both Bushs they were sell outs to the liberals all the way. Elder Bush said he would sign the Civil Rights Extension Bill push by the Democrats in 88 and he would then with the stroke of a pin eliminate all discrimination by doing away with Affirmative Action but he caved into the Democrats and NAACP opposition. It has been down hill with both of them ever since. Sure he used our military to fight the militant Islam but he got there fanatical eyes turned toward us by driving Iraq out of Kuwait (I could care less about one Muslim country over another one) and letting Israel do what ever they want to the Arabs with our financial backing in the ME. We should have left that part of the world alone and they would have not bothered us but that is history.

Both Bushs have pushed for bigger government control over our lives, more federal spending and in general socialism but just not as fast as the socialist and commie Democrats want to do. Nuff said.
