John McCain did when his citizenship was questioned for being born in the Canal Zone. The reason it is a question is because it has not been released, makes it appear that he is hiding something.

The problem for the country is having been elected even if he were to be disqualified that would just make Biden president and Pelosi and Reid with their majorities would still hold the power.

The tragedy for our country is not that Obama is president but that a liberal majority exist at all levels of the federal government except in the Supreme Court.

I know you see those blogs and emails that say his mommy had to have been at least 16 and had to have lived in the USA for 5 years or something...

This was changed in the 1980s and in the 1990s....the new requirements were made retroactive back to 1952...

What we should be wondering is why the law was changed in the 80s.....and why in the 1990s someone went and made the new law retroactive back to the beginning......

In the 1990s there was another act that made the 1980s act retroactive back to 1952....maybe even before.....

Indonesian laws dont mean anything to the US gov. Obama could not have renounced his citizenship because he was too young and the US wouldnt let anyone do it for him either.....No matter what indonesian law states.

I dont think indonesian law would have let him do it anyway...... there is a book on google books that deals with indonesian immigration law.....but...again... the US government says that nobody can renounce your citizenship but you....unless the government strips you of it.

And there would be....or will be official paperwork to back all this renouncing

The Clinton Administration had the FWGC not show up at all for the court hearing, so the Federal Judge gave the manatee nuts all of the restrictions they wanted.

They could not have gotten all the restrictions otherwise since manatee deaths had dropped drasticly and their numbers had multiplied.

The manatee nuts gave a lot of contributions to the Clinton's campaigns and the Clintons paid them back.

Just like the rest of us; you take the information from all sources and try to determine who is lying the most.

Facts are facts, but the viewpoint of what is a fact can be very fuzzy when it comes to extreme left or right sources.

I find that liberals, by nature of being "liberal", are more apt to out and out lie, but conservatives also manipulate the facts and have been known to out and out lie as well. It is still up to the individual.

This is why it is so important to at least know all of the points of view before accepting any of them as our own. Either we investigate and think for ourselves, or we settle for being a puppet parrot for either liberal or conservative propoganda.

It just seems to me that if Obama has made it this far without anyone knowing he is not an American citizen and he has provided false documentation being vouched for by at least three government employees in Hawaii, he must not have anything to hide.

Also, if a local judge can pull up my entire driving and/or criminal record, I find it hard to believe that a Supreme Court judge could not easily get a copy of someone's birth certificate.

From what I understand, Hawaii law prohibits anyone other than the actual person from obtaining their birth certificate. And the governor there (a Republican) has purposely sealed his file to ensure that no one else has access to it.

I admit that any fallout from this is unlikely, I just don't understand why Obama doesn't take the simple steps necessary to put it to rest. Seems to me that as the incoming president he would want to reach out to all Americans and clear up any issues like this that stands in the way of national harmony.

I can call a previous employer or the educational entity from which you matriculated. I can inquire to your educational and work acumen, I can determine if you have been convicted of minor or major crimes. In essence I can independently ascertain your worth and validity as an employee.

In this case the most basic requirement is to be a natural born citizen of the United States. Consider that there are very few actual requirements to be President of this country. Education, social status and wealth are not prerequisites; being a natural citizen is as well age and no felony convictions. Not a long list so the fact that he has not fully vetted this short list of requirements is questionable at best and criminal at worst.

If he has nothing to hide prove the fact before his inauguration otherwise why do we have a Constitution. If he is in fact in violation and has usurped the presidency under false pretense and guile why should we not be fearful that he will treat all other constitutional rights as cavalierly? I did check my birth certificate copy--it's a copy of the long form and has my parents names, hospital, doctor's name, time and all that on it. The pertinent information that doesn't get put on the computer generated form.

Not a long list so the fact that he has not fully vetted this short list of requirements is questionable at best and criminal at worst.

If he has nothing to hide prove the fact before his inauguration otherwise why do we have a Constitution. I did check my birth certificate copy--it's a copy of the long form and has my parents names, hospital, doctor's name, time and all that on it. The pertinent information that doesn't get put on the computer generated form.

We haven't said he is not an American just that there are questions that are legitimate and he could easily dispel them by releasing the actual document.

There is also a big difference between ANG service and being legally eligible to be the president.

I never claimed to be a conservative. I am also not a liberal. You see, I have this capacity to do something called "rational thinking" that keeps me from being only one sided about issues.
