I read that it was the large urban centers that got Obama elected.....urban centers with lots of rap and hip hop and soul tv and radio stations....
Many Obama voters at exit polls didnt even realize they voted...many of the people appeared dazed and confused...all of them saying the last thing they remembered was turning on the radio or tv and hearing the Obama chant......
Id be real carefull listening to that video...might find yourself down at your local polling place in your pajamas in the middle of the night...

I find it amazing that an Obama supporter has no clue who Nancy Pelosi is, the first female Speaker of the House, and second in line to the Presidency. :(

That's not so andy. You would have to go far and wide to find any McCain supports like those Obama supporters which which they picked at random on the street. Give us a break. I can't think of any McCain voters that I know who would come close to the ignorance shown on that video. . That statement of yours is too much and very condescending and untrue. Thank you very much.

When one realizes how dis-informed the public is, and how easily they are lied to and believe it... one must also believe in a merciful and patient God... because otherwise this country would have self distructed a long time ago.

Too bad there is no requirement for some kind of "ownership" in our country for people to vote, not necessarily home or property ownership but proof that you have been gainfully employed at least some time in your life and proof positive that you are a legal US citizen. Unfortunately the only proof of ID needed in TX is a water or electric bill. They even have spanish only ballots here.
This video is similar to a pre-election poll in NYC. The pollsters asked Obama supporters if they supported BO's position on various themes. All the themes and campaign rhetoric were from Mccain and just by just implying that these were BO's ideas the people were all for them. They have not a clue what this man stands for or where he is going to take the country, except it will be a change.

There is no doubt that Americans have been media blitzed to put a Democrat, any Democrat, into the White House. The media started heavily covering the Democratic pre-primaries nearly a full year before we had any clue that the Republican Party was even going to part of the election this time around.

Mccain flip flopping didnt help himself much either. Hes always been for immigration, global warming, open borders, and when he was up for president all the sudden he's changed his mind on those topics
There are other things he flip flopped on but I cant think right now .... long day.

All politicians alter their agenda's as the election proceedes. Tell me how many things Obama stayed with one opion of. Actually, tell me "anything" that Obama did not "change" his view of.

As we know, the founding fathers stipulated that only land-owners could vote. I believe the founding fathers understood all to well the limitations and stupidity of human nature if left to itself with too much unbridled freedom. The FF may have understood the way folks behaved in recent elections, had they been here... As I understand it, the idea was to limit voting to folks that had proven by their actions they have grown (matured) to be successful in the capitalistic system and/or small business, and as such have a personal financial stake in the system continuing to work in a responsible manor. This can be interpreted in more than one way... The obvious is to keep a capitalistic system working so folks that choose to work hard will prosper. Another is understanding that a greedy and dishonest boss is just as destructive as an immature boss who does not require responsible behavior. A third understanding is folks that realize nurturing their employees is a win-win situation. I am sure folks can add some wisdom here.
I really do not see anything wrong with the founding father's view on this (perhaps add women to the voting roles so long as they reach the same qualifications). Having said that, I have observed that many folks just cannot bring themselves to accept the idea that folks who have been dead for 200 years could possibly be as smart as them... I think this is a sign of the arrogance of our modern society. We think we are sooo 'with it' just because it is us doing the thinking. I personally think the first thing we need is to realize that others may be a lot wiser than I/we, and listen to their wisdom. This does not mean I am no longer in control of my life; quite the contrary. It only means that I am smart enough to listen to others before I go off like a loose cannon thinking I know it all. Honestly, I have yet to meet anyone that truly does 'know it ALL', everyone I meet is 'good in some areas and deficient in others'. Everyone can learn if they choose to close their mouths and listen with an open mind.
OK, this is just my $0.02 worth... thoughts?

Politicians tell one story during a primary, and a second during an electoral campaign... and I seriously doubt they have any intent to do either after they get elected. What amazes me is the public buys it every 2-4 years.
IMO it is God's grace this nation has not self destructed already.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around a link on the subject of American literacy that royc recently posted: http://www.rense.com/general84/amrr.htm
How can 20 percent of adult Americans be illiterate? How can 1/3rd of adult Americans can be either illiterate or barely literate? And 80 percent of American families did not buy a book in the past year???
Even if these numbers are excessively inflated, it makes one think were destined to have big money and emotional appeal, rather than competence, determine our future leaders. :(

Andy I saw your post about Schumpeter and understand to a fair degree how our country has changed through two generations.
Royc has posted some excellent material.
But 5star's post on the KGB was even better.
Glen was right on target a must see video.
So I looked up a little more on the subject.
The KGB has been gone since 91,but the GRU even with it's changing doctrine is still around.
when you get past the Yuri Bezmenov video just Google Stanislav Lunev.

When I watched this video yesterday after finding it on another site showing the link, I knew exactly what it would be, and it was.
Seeing it though only made you just shake your head while realizing just how ignorant those 53% are who voted for an outright Communist, who hates this country, as their leader.

HI Andy,
Honestly, when I see something from Rense.com, I usually pass it by...
I live in an area with a lot of Hispanic contractors (framers, drywall, roofers, painters, etc). These folks are family types with nice cars (they are the contractors, not the workers)... The surprising thing is most of them do not speak much English... and if they do not speak English, do they read it??? I doubt it.
The part about 80% have not bought a book in a year is tuff for me to understand... There are HUGE bookstores at the mall a few miles away. I wonder if internet purchases of books are excluded from that number?
I do see the validity of your comment of dismal gloom about the intelligence of the voting public... I hope that is not the case...
I suspect if this recession goes on for a while (a year or so more), there will be a lot of folks that will go back to Mexico...

Not sure if this was what you were referring to...
Immigration is folks coming to a country...
Emigration is folks leaving a country...
Seems to me this might be kinda like what goes up, comes back down???
I know I have heard a lot of Hispanic contractor types in my area say they are moving back to Mexico, because there is no work here anymore. Seems to me in a strange way these folks are skilled migrant workers... If so, and the recession lasts for a while... we may see a massive Emigration.
And yes, that will solve a lot of problems by itself. And BHO will get credit for something he did not do.

Perhaps that's the best idea. The following wiki article lists the adult literacy rate in the U.S. at 99 percent: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_literacy_rate
I suspect this figure might be a bit high but far closer to reality.
I do see the validity of your comment of dismal gloom about the intelligence of the voting public... I hope that is not the case...
Literacy is merely the first step. It doesn't guarantee anything about one's ability to think on their own. Which get me to my original question: How can an Obama supporter not know of Nancy Pelosi? Obviously, they're not reading... :(

Blame the Bush Administration for the recession. Take credit for reducing the number of illegal immigrants in the U.S.? :D

Well, ya better snap out of it. The vast majority of BO supporters are ignorant, ill-informed, mis-informed or un-informed. And many are described by all 4 terms above. I have had discussions with some of the guys at work and they made statements similar to those on the taped interview.
The ignorant have installed our next POTUS. Rightfully, they will be the ones first and most affected by his administration.
I DO love it.

This brings us back to a sad truth about politics (not only in the USA),
Folks vote what makes them feel good, rather than using common sense...
Not sure how to change that other than restricting who votes... and I doubt that will happen in this country, too late.
Maybe our great, great... great grandchildren will form a country based on solid principles, and institute safegaurds to keep it that way...
However, it seems like a 'spy vs spy' routine... the more folks try to fix things, the more others try to mess them up...
Go figure...
