Honeywell Refrigerant detectors

Hi All

We have installed a Honeywell Controller module :301EM with 3 R410a detector module's. We have run a 24vac daisy chained power supply and a 2 pair comms from the main module to the 3 sensor modules.

But when the main module does a start up module scan it only pick's up sensor 3. Iv'e checked the continuity of the comms cable and it is ok.

In the manual it refers to a sensor setup menu but with the two letter password in the manual it doesn't look like you can accsess that menu.

The menu password is VA.

Any help will be appreciated.

Did you make sure the comm lines arent crossed in the daisy chain.

Yip Iv'e checked that I have wired them Separatly and can only see the third sensor when connected. I'm beginning to wonder if the other two sensor's have so sort of problem. (faulty):(

Admittedly I'm not familiar with the sensor type, but as it is communication;
Are they set up properly? What happens if you remove all but one faulty or set it up as the only one able to respond?

Hi mate

These sensors are auto addressing and when first powered up the main module detects all the sensors on the comms trunk and then assigns them addresses.

You are able to determine the addresses from the number of time's the LED blinks (on the front of the sensor) and then subtract 1 so four blinks would mean address 3 and so on.

The two sensors I can’t detect are blinking continuously.

I am awaiting feed back from the supplier.
