Can someone please explain what the Branch Device is? I know what the manual says, it's a memory location. But I'm seeing more than one value when viewing Tux points.
Does it hold multiple values? If so, how is it set up?
TIA,

Hi Jogas,
The branch is a temporary memory location as you stated. Basically, when you write to a branch point, you can use it until you write to it again. Say you are doing some sort of integration temp control process. You bring in the temp and setpoint to a minus block. The output can be branch 1. Send that branch 1 as an input to a multiplication block to be multiplied by your gain factor. The output of this can again be branch 1. You have just replaced the old data with new. Hopefully this makes sense. Those zip files I sent have pre defined programs that are in autocad. Seeing them like this definately helped me out. Shoot me an e-mail if I can be of any help.
