I would like to learn how to tune a Viessman boiler; just the basics, like changing the nozzle, making minonr adjustments here and there, etc. I am not interested in learning EVERYTHING about heating systems, thermodynamics, etc. I am just frustrated w/ our situation here. My son bought a Viessman last year, and it took 6 months of waiting, 3 different companies (2 no-shows) and WAY too much money for a one-hour job. I've tuned my own HB Smith and Weil boilers for 30 yrs, and have done fine. Every 4 or 5 yrs I have someone stop by and run their equipment on it, and they don't diddle w/ it much. I do OK solo, and think I can w/ a Viessman, too. However, I am smart enough to not go in there blind and start wailing away. Any good books/courses available? Thanks, and I will call the Viessman guys in Canada, too.

Pls list the equipment. I have a magnamometer (??; measures the pressure/vacuum, whatever it is called) and the smoke kit, which I use to check my own boiler. What else to I need? Thanks. john

Good thing it's an oil boiler instead of gas. Chances of killing someone are lower ;)
