Having a problem with a ICG ultimate 2 cycling. The pressure switch intermittently opens after a minute of the furnace running, it gets too hot. The vent is clear, no blockages. The pressure switch was changed not too long ago, but it seems much worse this year. I have no explanation why it's worse.

No I'm not going to tear apart my furnace, just want to know what's going on.

A pressure switch shouldn't be getting hot.

its probably not a problem with teh pressure switch.

You need a tech, not a parts changer.

Sorry didn't mean the pressure switch gets hot, but rather the airflow warms up, and that causes the pressure switch to open.

Yes it is the pressure switch, 24 VAC stops flowing across it, shutting off power to the module. Confirmed with a DMM.

There are things that can cause the pressure to drop and the switch to do its job.
You need a tech that knows how to check the pressure the switch is sensing.
Anf then knows what to check from there.

Alright thanks for the tips guys. No I'm not going to start taking apart the furnace, I just want an idea of what's going on.

I just find it bizarre, it was working fine last year. I tried a few things, including opening the door(maybe my house is sealed up too well...) but that didn't help. New filter didn't help either(thought the main fan was interfering with the blower fan).

And to add, it's the big diaphragm type pressure switch, looks like a big rig brake chamber. Honestly, I think it's pretty junky.
