what do you guys use to remote in

I was wondering what you guys generally use to remote into networks for setup/monitoring.
I have used Hamachi + TightVNC for years which works well but its a hack.
I would prefer an dedicated appliance solution, possibly keep on the truck for when net admins cant figure out port fowarding;)
