Are any of you as puzzled as I am about the last part of this quote by Joe Biden.

it's not going to be apparent that we're right."

I would be very interested to know what he is talking about.

"Watch. We're going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.

"And he's going to need help . . . to stand with him. Because it's not going to be apparent initially; it's not going to be apparent that we're right."

That really susprised me that Biden would say that..He is probably in a very limited group of the "to know crowd" on foreign affairs..IMO whomever gets elected they will be tested very promptly...

I wonder what DEAL he made with them that if he gets elected, what will he ALLOW them to do????

Scary thought isn't it? :(

:confused::eek::confused::eek::mad:

This could easily backfire on the ticket. The last thing Obama wants right now is to shift the focus back to national security, McCain creams him on that.

Seriously....2-3 days ago representatives from both theObama and McCain team were called to the White House for an emergency security briefing. Seems that intel has credible evidence that there will be an attempt to wage a terror attack on us right after the election. Same thing happened in England right after their election.

This briefing was briefly reported and then hushed up.

Draw your own conclusions.

It doesn't matter at this point what the Dems say or do, they're riding a steam roller right to the White House.

When you see statistics that say between 2 to 5% of voters in this country know who Pelosi and Reid are, then you know why we are going to h@ll in a handbasket at light speed.

OF COURSE, he's going to be tested. BO has already said he's side with Islam if it came to that. They would like to know how true to form he is. THAT is the number one reason he has no business in the Oval Office. He is a threat to the security of our nation. Anyone who does not see that is..alright, I'm saying it...S-T-U-P-I-D!

Retreating from iraq and invading pakistan is not going to help things alot, maybe that is what biden meant?

Or maybe thats not what he meant.

What If there was a preemptive strike form Iran or Israel
on each other? Would his Islam background have an
effect on his decisions?

I wonder if most of the american people realize that obama could'nt get a federal job, because of past associations he would not be able to get a security clearance. And they're gonna elect this guy P.O.T.U.S. I'm truly baffled

Not that I doubt you, but do you have a source for that statement from BO on siding with Islam?

The article below, while it focuses on a different subject, does have some information about the briefing at the end:

This does not look like a 'crises' issue to me... but I could well not have all the information.

The actual quote from the book is from page 261 and is as follows: "Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

http://righttruth.typepad.com/right_truth/2008/02/i-will-stand-wi.html

Nicely couched within the japaneese internment greivance, a promise of support to all muslims domestic, no matter the problem.

There you go, there it is.

Interesting idea wallynut,....

Not to hound that link, isreal is known to be thinking pre-emtpive too.

Now then, supporting iran instead of isreal would seem wrong.... But alot of obamas' jew-hating associates and peacenik hippie supporters think isreal is the real problem in the middle-east. Obamas' proven muslim affilliations may influence him.

Obama as a president may well be the catylist for war on a scale we have never seen before. Bush must be considering bombing iran, and so would McCain I think. Obama is considering 'dialouge' with iran... Now what the he11 does that mean exactly?

Obama may not actively support iran, but may allow them to become powerful during his administration. That is my best case scenario. Obama=Iranian Nukes, best case scenario.

Worst-case, middle east in a all-out war with every available national power jumping in to get control over the area.

I don't think it will have anything to do with Iran. Iran is too small to worry about.

But conky, iran is developing nukes!

I guess russia and china are bigger items but I don't see the conflict there in the immediate future.

Let's say for a moment Obama becomes Supreme leader of the United States in January 2009. If Biden knows something ( He is on all those Special Committies ); Maybe Bidden should tell Obama, not tell just a bunch of "Rednecks" He should say something to Obama.

Obama already has said that Iran is Tiny and they aren't no serious threat......
