i saw it on TV 3 days ago.

what that means is, throughout everything that's been happening, the public bailing out the corrupt banking system, the stock market dropping, people losing jobs due to the hearsay,

the majority of large businesses are still pulling increasing profits.

OPEC announced today that they will be cutting gas production.

...which leads to higher demand, and stops the price from dropping

A few industries are up, yes. Many are down. Auto makers having the worst sales in 15 years. GM and Chrysler possibly merging, how crazy is that!

Most retailers down, the low priced stores like WalMart excepting.

People have been so battered with gloom and doom from the media and politicians, they aren't spending money.
