Im having some problems with the graphics on a novar system.
I have a very simple graphic for an air handler and on the page there are points brought out for a couple of duct heaters. These give the space temp of the area the sensors and heaters are in and there is another point for each area, downstairs, upstairs that gives the status of the heater...which is either on or off.
On the upstairs heater the space temp shows up and the status of the heaters ( on or off ) shows up and works fine but on the downstairs heater the space temp shows up fine but instead of giving me the status of the heater I am just getting a box that says (offline).
I can modify setpoints for both heaters fine and on the non graphic pages of iscope I can see the status of the heater fine..... it just continues to show "offline" where the point should be saying on or off.
System was working fine when I was last there a few weeks ago and I did see where there was a power failure recently recorded by novar.
Does anyone have any ideas of what is going on here.... Ive seen other problems where "offline" in a status box usually means that there is a communication loss but I dont see that as the case because the space temp sensor is sending reliable data....and I have control of the heater.
anyhow... is there anything I can try to make the point work right... get rid of the "offline" text and bring back the on off status. ???
I clicked on "define point" for both the upstairs and downstairs heater status and the system took me to a list of points.... and when that page opened up there was a sensor something or other highlighted... Im sorry but I left my notebook at the shop....
I can use any advice or help in fixing this.... We do have control of the heaters...but I still need to fix this graphics problem......
I have thought about getting a back up of the job...Hope there is one somewhere....I did find a floppy backup from 2006 but another control guy in our co should have one on his comp....and I think there may be one at work on the server... When they did some work at the shop they took all my documents and files off and put them on the server.... why ...I dont know.
But doing a back up and restore is my last option if there is something simple I am missing...
In addition to the power failure a while back I also suspect that a maint man likes to play with iscope. This job is an ancient job and was trouble free for years up till the computer was moved to this maint mans office. But I cant say that for sure
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
And Im sorry for wasting all the bandwidth....Im just long winded I guess.
