...so my friend at work, when he was a young drug addict, had two kids with one woman, and one kid with another woman.
both of them he lived with for some time.

he takes his kids somewhere every other week, and this is no exaggeration.

his oldest kid is 17.

last year he received a letter, saying the he owed $100,000 in back child support!!!

something happened, they decided to be nice and drop it to $50,000.

here's the real kicker,
HIS CHILD SUPPORT WAS AUTOMATICALLY PREVIOUSLY TAKEN OUT OF HIS PAYCHECK.

his exgirlfriend, with the two kids, filed a claim against him, and it just so happens, they say there is no record of him paying his child support because the storing term for the microfiche has expired.

so after dealing with local lawyers who have done nothing for him, he called an out-of-city attorney on the radio who claims he defended fathers.

he had to pay 3 thousand dollars to get started.
he went to court after several months, i don't know what happened but he was there for 5 minutes.
he just received a letter from his attorney that he has to pay another 7 thousand dollars for legal fees, which he's not going to pay.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

how is it possible that so many people in America are allowing this big corrupt frenzy to be taking place?

...didn't hear anything about it in the Presidential debate.

they can make all the claims they want, doesn't mean he has to pay. AND if he has a good relationship with his kids, he can get them to help with this non-sense. they can testify that they saw there mother receive or cash checks from the father. Besides he should be able to go get his old paychecks from his former employers that show he paid. There are a bunch of ways out of this.

I paid $55/week for 8 years ($303/month) I was SUPPOSE to pay until my kid was 21. When he turned 18 and dropped out of school I called stupid (thats my pet name for my ex-wife) and told her she failed as a mother and she would no longer be receiving child support. She just said okay and I have never heard another word about it.

I talk to my kid all the time ( on the phone, he's in Mexifornia ) He's 22 now. But he kind of understands why I'm not there. He did finally go get a GED. but it wasn't because of his mother.
