I was just wondering does a 410a heat pump put out a hotter discharge air then a r22 heat pump? Seems that with the higher head pressure that goes along with the 410a it would be warmer . Any thoughts?

BTUs is BTUs. Look at the ratings for the units you are comparing. If a 3 ton pump puts out 36,000 BTU at 47°, the high temp rating point, the air will be warmer than one that puts out 33,000 BTUs with same airflow.

not necessarily true just because the pressures are higher deosnt mean the temps will be different.

If you didn't have gages on a 410A system or read the labels, you could not tell the difference from a R-22 system. Thermally, it is very similar to 22.
