Can someone describe the DPIH insulation accessory kit recommended in the Goodman AEPF Installation Instructions for high humidity applications with horizontal orientation? What's in the kit and how is it installed? Is it needed?

I'm looking at an AEPF 183016 AH set up LH horizontal. It's in an attic space, and the area has high summer humidity. How can I tell if the DPIH36-42 kit is installed, and if it is not can it be installed without removing the coil?

Goodman should have a 1-800 number to call. Start there. I don't know, or I'd tell you.

One distributor tells me it is rarely sold for the horizontal application and they don't even stock that kit. He says the kit for the downflow application is sold occasionally. He says the kit is just sticky back foam insulation you apply to the drain pan.

OK then, what does the installing contractor recommend? Sounds like a simple request on your end.
