Trane guys-- What do you guys use for routing on LNS based jobs?
Also, do you use repeaters instead of switches on your LON side?
Looking at the architecture it looks likes a fit for Smart Switches instead of repeaters.

You having a major change in atitude lately but sorry to little to late for me. You were the guy that was hung up on the Trane rebranded fieldserver box, many posts the sole reason for the post was to bash Trane. You were on a kick for a while to rip out any Trane BCU with a field server gateway and recently you pretty much stated Trane guys were idiots. You were also one of the main reason for quite a while on this board I provided very little in the way of a straight answer and still reluctant to do so. Don't want to hear the usual **** about Trane, not worth my time to help someone and hear **** in the next post.
Thats the way I feel, some may feel the same but many probably wont.
I will 2nd that..
How the rolls change, from competitor to willing to help to make a sale!?!?

Thats the way I feel, some may feel the same but many probably wont.Fair enough. I say what I honestly think. I like their equipment and was always frustrated by their decisions on controls (they aren't the only ones). However, I've even said what I like about that as well. So, there is no attitude change other than that I don't deal daily with them on a contracting level. My issues were hardly unique on this site.
Also, any Trane tech proclaiming that old API they were using was better than LNS was uniformed and I'll stand by that too. It made things difficult for themselves not being able to utilize plugins from other vendors and having their style plugin methods nobody else utilized. Interesting that Trane is migrating. I'm all for it and say I wish they had done it years ago. That would have ended most of my issues because the flexibility would have been available. Will those guys suddenly change their tune? Have you? I can tell you I haven't.
And, I wouldn't fieldserver in place of a BCU. I'd not use either if possible. I viewed that BCU as an anchor preventing a very scaleable LON network. Now I realize WHY Trane scaled their architecture that way and I'm sure some guys wouldn't like the reason....Misinformed.
However, this new webserver stuff Trane has coming out may be decent. And, that new chiller interface is really well done. I like the navigation alot and forwarded that to a couple guys as an example of a nicely thought out interface. (Trane has a flash version on their site) I've also stated I like those MP58-style controllers. EDIT- They also have avoided Tridiumization, which from a tech standpoint is nice having somebody pursue an alternate.
It's one thing to hold a grudge, but at least make sure your facts are down straight.
Quite simply I'm thinking that I've got some product that helps a Trane guy extend his network, analyze it, and provide some solutions in some vertical markets. I'm not out to sell everything in the portfolio "just because". If you would rather put on some blinders and ignore it I guess no problem for me. Maybe some other Trane product user finds a way to take a few jobs from you because of it. I also think you need to man-up a bit if you were afraid to defend the product... I'm simply not that imposing.

How the rolls change, from competitor to willing to help to make a sale!?!?See above. And it sure seems you have a new job because your tune has been changing... at least willf had some points to try to make. This is about your typical level of response. I'm waiting for something to evaluate that you post and it never happens.
:Start Rant:

As previosly stated.

I still work for the same place but do alot more than just factory gear. I really do not need your evaluation nor care about it.
:End Rant: returning to a troll with no more comments on this subject.

"I really do not need your evaluation nor care about it." -- I think it's a comprehension problem with you. I stated I have yet to get some meaningful information from you to evaluate. You have a contrary stance to my positions yet you never provide any meaningful counterpoints. And, here is more of the same. I can't even classify this as commentary as it's a glass full of nothing.
Anyway, I expect a couple more nothing posts from you so please, get them out of the way so I can move on to some more meaningful discussion.
EDIT-- You probably should edit your previous post since your second quote doesn't make any sense with the subsequent commentary. I don't think Willf is the target for you, but going on past experience with you I understand where you may be confused.

L-Switch page (http://www.loytec.com/americas/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=59&Itemid=11)
You may want to investigate the L-IP's also. I did use L-Switches on Trane stuff in the past because it auto-magically looks at the packet destinations and doesn't waste space repeating packets down a trunk that doesn't need them.
