when I put my heat on I can hear a "ping-ping" noise that Im sure is my spark igniter/generator-often it will light but occasionally it doesnt-I shut it off and try again and it lights--any way I can check and make sure the problem is the igniter--thank you

Yes, they make a tool called a "technician"...you don't even have to buy one, you can just rent it :D

Ive used this site more than once-usually for refrigeration-thats what I do professionally-I have little experience with furnaces--usually you get help on this site but occasionally like now you get snippy comments from little children who think they are ever so clever-- but I figured out what happening--you dont know the answer but your immaturity wont allow you to leave well alone -you must make some kind of dumb comment-but you waste time because often I scroll this site looking a questions I did not leave but the subject gets my attention and I learn from it-I doubt Im alone in this--so if you dont know stop wasting other peoples time!!!

Slow down skippy...were here to help...in the proper way. If you are indeed a pro in the industry then simply apply for pro status where you can ask your questions in the pro forums and not in the open area of the site. Rather simple huh...
There was nothing posted in reply that warranted your response, therefore no apologies will be extended, play nice and you may actually get somewhere :)
