I have to replace my cooling tower bypass actuator (21 year old JC M150 with R81GAA-1 board). This valve hasn't been used in many years but now that we have VFD's on the tower I need to get the valve operational. I want to get a feed back signal to track the actual valve position and I'm thinking the easiest way to do this is go back with another M150 actuator with the R81CAA interface?
I'm using ABB drives with a lon interface so I'll assume I just bring the signal back to an analog input on the drive.
I was looking at the Honeywell 7284 actuators but they don't seem to have an option for the feedback.
suggestions are appreciated.
thanks,
