Hello Pros,
I recently had a new HVAC system installed that included a Trane XL15i with a Honeywell VisionPro IAQ thermostat.
My HVAC contractor did a fantastic job with the installation and has been very responsive all around. I'm a very satisfied customer except....
My only problem is that I can't get them to set the dehumdification functions on the stat. Now I very well could be the confused one so I'm bouncing this off you all to set me straight.
From my reading on this forum, I gather that the VisionPro has two dehumdification functions up and above the effects of cooling. One is the "over-cool" function, and the other is slowing the blower. Is that correct?
If it is, the technicians aren't aware of how to wire the EIM/blower to achieve these functions. I've tried to explain what I've read here on the forum, but I do such a poor job of explaining that all I get is a blank stare and sounds of crickets chirping.:) Don't get me wrong, the guys are very willing to help, they just don't know what I'm talking about and I can't explain it.
I know the rules here and detailed explanations aren't allowed. Is there a source that my HVAC pros can access that I can refer them to where they can learn?
Maybe I'm confused. Does anybody have any ideas.
Thanks in advance.
Mike
