Since you're interested in HVAC engineering and design, you might try this organization:

Not knowing where you are located, Northeastern University in Boston,Mass offers an HVAC Systems Design Certificate Program. A total of 7 courses had to be completed for the certificate. When I was in the program, most of the other participants were employees of Engineering firms. I'm sure there are other such programs-look around the internet- good luck.

In the US, there is no certification process to practice HVAC design. As you gain more experience, you can obtain you're PE (US) and there are ASHRAE certifications such as HPBDP (High Performance Building Design Professional) and HDP (Healthcare Design Professional), as well as future ASHRAE cert's.

Good Luck!

Only if you don't take the job for less than half the pay that an American will do it for.
