I don't usually post in ARP, but this is rather an interesting and frightening development.

Basically, the Taliban/al quada are seriously trying to take over Pakistan and it's government since the all the high government officials were supposed to be there this weekend and at the time of the bombing. The plans were changed at the last moment. The message from the Taliban is this: hand over the country or fight.

Everyone is aware that Pakistan has nuclear weapons...

They say they are safe but I don't know about that...

Not a good scene, if you ask me.

pakistan is probably about one short militay coup/assasination[s]/election away from being in control of the radical elements there.

I had not heard about the assasination angle of this, I thought it was just another mindless murderous rampage. That would demonstrate they are out for more than just killing at random, scary stuff....
