Seems to me that everyone should be under the law... but it does not work that way.

In the case of Sarah Palin's hubby, there is a reason he refused, and as I read it; the reason is valid.

You see, politics is not about right and wrong, nor about laws... it is about image. If one party can influence the voting public to think the other party is bad, then the first party wins that round... and the next round starts in a day or less. Sooner or later one group emerges with a stronger image than the other (regardless of right and wrong, laws, or anything else).

THAT, my friend, is what politics is about.

Oh, and if you really want to know what makes politics work: Follow the money train (google until you find out who profits and who pays). Warning; you will get angry, and then become cynical. :eek:

He even said publicly that he'd bring an "October surprise" out of the investigation. Palin herself ordered the investigation to make sure everyone knew it was above board. Since she became the GOP VP nominee, the guys running the thing have turned it into a political witch hunt.

Apparently you don't listen to the real news outside the pro Obama press. He and everyone involved is cooperating fully with the state investigation. They simply didn't care to go to a grand inquisition conducted by some far out left wing Obama supporters unless they have to. It takes a lot of patience and love to raise a kid. And if you have a house full of them, it takes a special person to do it all.

Now lets look at this for a minute: A person that has a HUGE amount of patience and love to raise 5 kids (one with a serious birth defect), and love/support a teen daughter that messed up. Add to this the person is capable of climbing the ladder of politics all the way to governor of a state... This is an extra-ordinary person.

Is this person qualified for a high pressure job? It would appear so to me.

You may be right, I could have used another word. But that would be dishonest, because we all do it. Its in our nature to assess who we comunicate with, whether thats by proxy or in person.

Seems we have a discussion going in another part of this forum, that exactly addresses that, how a service tech should dress. Whether we like it or not, we judge and we are being judged all the time. And first impressions do count, including the impression we get from whats being written here.

Just because I judge doesnt mean its a negatice value.

I understand what you are saying. The point of my post was to suggest less emphasis on the "I think this/that'; and more emphasis on a positive attitude in general.
