Impressive if a group of people invade your home knowing that their are people their they have worst stuff in mind then just taking your stuff. I said fight no matter what when that happens even if they have a gun aim at one of your kids.

These guys were stupid to begin with they had the gun so close to the woman that she could grab it.

But the big thing is it doesnt matter if you have a gun or not. The thing that that home invaders have over their victims is the element of surprise, they know who and when they are going to strike. To me the best thing to have is a Dog. Dogs are fire alarms, door bells, and body guards rolled into one. And from what my brother in law told me relatively hard to shoot. That and at least one of those motion lights. After those two thing guns and cell phones are next. And depending on the size of your house you might need more then one gun and as many people as possible in your house should have experience shooting them.

These people got lucky the criminals made major mistakes.

The dog thing is good. We rescued a chow mix (looks more like a shepherd) from the pound about 4 years ago. We know when someone drives into our drive without looking. She "boofs" until they get to the porch and then lets out with "I'm-a-badass-dog-that's-gonna-make-mulch-of-your-bony-butt" barking. The sound even scares us. Soon as we open the door, she goes back to "boofing" her disapproval of someone on the property. She stays in the mud room and we don't even lock that door. Anybody who gets close to that door pees their pants. Until the neighbor's kids got used to her, when they walked past the mud room door in the yard, she'd go off on her rant and those kids jumped like they had been pounced on already. The beauty of it is, she is sort of shy face to face but once she knows the kids, she is protective of them.

She's a regular 4 legged doorbell.

Dad always told a story about the chow that we had when I was a toddler.
My Dad was going to give my sister and I a spanking for misbehaving. We were outside when he was about to start the disipline. The chow got between Dad and us, he could sense what was going to happen. The chow stood his ground and would not let Dad near us :D. Dad ended up taking the wheels off of the tricycle for our punishment.
