Johnson Controls FEC

I have a customer with a couple FEC controllers. I want to know what software I need to connect to controllers and proper cable.

Controller Configuration Tool (CCT) and Blue Tooth CVT (BTCVT).

If they have a server look for CCT on it.
If they have it you can download, upload and commission form the server in pass thur mode.

Rotsa Ruck, have fun installing that CCT program . . . sheesh! and god forbid should your bluetooth give you troubles. Fear not, once it gets working it works pretty well.

The built-in Bluetooth Addapters for Dell Latitude 505 and 510
work with the BTCVT, however I was not able to get a Plugin
IOGEAR Adapter to work on a Third Latitude that did not have
Bluetooth on-board. IT would pair but not communicate
to the MS/TP Trunk and the FEC Controller.

Is it me or is this just soooooo much harder then it should be? :confused: I go and find CCT try to install it then I need SQL blah blah blah so I choose SQL express SP1 and install that but CCT still won’t install. :eek: Then I end up in the JCI quagmire of pdf’s and all I’ve accomplished is wasting hours with no results. :mad: This industrial geekdom is really a call for alcohol! I could do all this from the headend but come on all I want to do is walk up plug in and commission.:(

Yep, someday they'll invent a voice interface where you just speak to it - look man, just F***in work man.

I hear ya, kcil - my CCT will configure controllers all day long, but won't actually download a configuration without locking up...at least our shop has a couple other functioning CCT laptops, but what a pain...
