This isn't the only story about this but was the handiest.
In it there are two different, distinct statements by Biden that seem to be ... opposed to each other:

"If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued – not out of vengeance, not out of retribution, out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president -- no one is above the law."

...

"What is true is the United States Congress is trying to preserve records on questions that relate to whether or not the law has been violated by anyone," Biden said, adding: "But, you know, there's been an awful lot of unsavoury stuff that's gone on. And the mere fact … that it occurred in a previous administration doesn't mean [a subsequent] Justice Department, if, in fact, there's evidence, shouldn't pursue them. "But I have no evidence of any of that. No one's talking about pursuing President Bush criminally."

So, first he answers this:

When asked during a campaign event in Deerfield Beach, Florida, whether he would "pursue the violations that have been made against our Constitution by the present administration", Biden answered in the affirmative.

But then says:
"But I have no evidence of any of that. No one's talking about pursuing President Bush criminally."

I obviously get confused easily....:o

Biden seems to be suggesting that if we have a democrat president to go along with the obvious democrat majority in congress, people like Obama and Biden would attempt to use the justice department the way Bill Clinton did with Janet Reno.
They would also try to persuade their cohorts to use their legislative power of subpoena against a retired president who was elected and served two full terms with honor and dignity.

Shameful bunch, they are.:o

More double speak. Just trying to rattle the Republicans cause they can't get anything on McCain/Palin.

The ONLY reason this is brought up is VENGENCE.
Liberals simply HATE GW and will NEVER admit that their hate is just as criminal as those who discriminate against race/creed/religion....

It's not you, not in a sense that's bad for you. It's bad for Barry and for Mr. "slower lower" Delaware, Joe Biden.

There could be a context gap in Mr. Biden's two ostensibly contradictory comments, but either way he's gonna have a hard time making the case against Mr. Bush outside of the 9th Circus or the World Court.
I hope that Barry and Joe give up their Senate seats for this race, and then I hope that they lose, and have to get jobs in the private sector. Then maybe he could learn to compose a thought that is not tailored for a Senate audience
