If you have Ax, then you should be able to start the demo station and get an idea of the graphics that are available.

You can then find all the available "canned" graphics, shapes, panes, etc. In the KitPX, KitPxHvac, BAJA and BAJAUI modules in your pallet.

I recommend playing with that stuff first prior to adding custom GIF'S, etc.

In my opinion the things that matters the most when creating a user interface is to provide as much info as possible, without it being all cluttered and to provide simple navigation for the end user.

Personally, I prefer the Tabbed views for devices with an over view on the first, set points on another, a SOO on another, a schedule on another, an admin view, etc

Somewhat similar, but different question. Does anyone know where in the current Workbench builds (3.3, etc.) that I can find an example of using an HTML page to display my own custom tree? I've heard of some users creating their Nav file and displaying it in an HTML frame and being able to create some pretty wicked user interfaces. Any direction is greatly appreciated!

HTML frame is available back to 3.1. And I don't think it's using nav file at all. Check "frames" folder under your demo station folder.
