Does anyone have the software to connect to, and interrogate Tracer L's, 100's and 100i's?
If not, what could I use to upload the I/O and logic?
TIA,

Can a Tracer UPCM analog output supply a 4-20ma signal?
What analog output signals can it be configured to provide?
TIA,

jogas,

The upcm can be configured for the 4-20 with a jumper in the panel next to the Analog Input. The inside of the cover will have a diagram. I have the software but can't remember how to install it in dos mode which I'm being prompted to do.I'm waiting for some help on it now.

Jogas,

You are an integrating machine....

Any SNMP to AX yet???

I am doing my first one of those coming up next week, it looks easy? But having a little trouble with the MIB trying to work offline.

Thanks....I didn't know that and didn't look at the cover, duh.
We could have another cool acronym...RTFC, along with RTFM.
I've already got the PCMEdit and UPCMEdit.
I've got the UPCMEdit booting from a desktop icon on my Dell XP. I think(?) I reboot to Dos to run PCMEdit. I've just been too lazy to create a Batch file to run it without searching for it in Dos. I don't have too many PCM's, but several UPCM's.
I'm after the software for the other panels, like the 100's and 100i's and L's.

Thanks, but all too often the machine seems like only one oar is in the
water :D
No, I haven't ran into any SNMP yet. What system(s) uses it?

Its ??? in a data center, I believe some power monitoring equipment or something along those lines...

I figured I would begin to play around with some MIB files I found on Liebert's site, prior to seeing the job for the first time next week.

I think it's going to be one of those where once your connected, it all makes sense, that's the plan anyways ;)

I knew I had heard the word SNMP somewhere. After reading your last post, I remembered we had a customer in from a large data center who has SNMP now, but wants Tridium in his next data center.
Is there an SNMP AX driver available?

Yep :D

That's what I am playing with now :p

It's pretty tough to get a feel without a live database to work with.
I went thru that with LON. I didn't have any training or experience with it before. I asked a lot of stupid questions to a lot of people who patiently helped me out.
I remember being told RTFM. As usual, get ready for the desert :(
I did a quick search on SNMP/MIB and saw there was a white paper out there:
http://www.dpstele.com/white-papers/snmp-mib/.
Let us know how it goes and what resources help you out.
I think we're all going to cover the same ground on all these integrations eventually.

Question 1:

To talk to a Tracer L or 100 or 100i you can use BMN if the site has it or a CRT / dumb terminal (VT100) if it has it or direct connect with any terminal emulation software (HyperTerminal, Procom). You may require PCL Edit, PCM Edit or UPCM Edit depending on exactly what you are looking to do.

What type of Unit Controllers do you have?

Question 2:

As Duke said yes. Facing the UPCM I believe the upper right hand side card 1 is AOP. Should give you 6 analog outputs.
