I have been told two different things and wondered what the consensus is.
Is the all aluminum condenser coils found in Trane better than the Tin Plated copper coils found in Carrier? Is one really any better than the other in an R22 system? Both say they have a 10 year warranty.
Which brings me to my second question. I was told by one sales rep that if you put a new coil on an existing furnace system, that the warranty is only 1 year and only is 10 years if an entire new system (inside and out) is installed at the same time using the same manufacturer. That just doesn't seem logical.
