Can someone tell me why ICM can't seem to draw a logical schematic like everyone else? I guess they are showing their stuff in a solid state way.
I found a time delay on a carrier package unit today that had the 24 volts coming in on the #1 leg instead of the #3 leg. The board shows the power coming in at 3 as the input and leaving terminal 1 to go to the #2 terminal on the Phase board. I think that if they used a little better logic and normal schematics, as well as stayed consistent, then the techs would find these delays more user friendly. The carrier schematic shows the power coming in on 1 and leaving on 3, but I don't know if this is an original time delay.

This leads to my next question. The only thing that I could think of that this board would do is to keep Comp 1 and 2 from starting up at the same time. Is this correct?
Another question. Are these boards "power robing" for the common, or does the circuitry sense the voltage potential and then pass it through after the set time?

Comp time delay sounds right. Old ones ore like freaky Icecube things. What are model and serial? Be worth a look see. Also depends on ICM delay and what it's being used for.

ICM has very good tech support. They will hand draw diagrams and fax them to you if you need them to.

I went back to the unit today just for another look see. Sure enough, what I reported was right. The ICM board was an OEM part as pictured on the drawing. It showed the first two switches on which would accumulate to a 3 second time delay. I don't know why the schematic varies from the ICM board, but the ICM part clearly shows the power coming in on #3 and leaving on the load side which is 1. I wired the new one to the ICM drawing and it worked either way. I left it as is with the ICM drawing and a 3 second time delay.

I stand corrected. This is a Beacon Brand time delay that I went back with. I bought it at United. I called Beacon's Technical Support number today to find out that they are as confused as I am. He told me that the 24 volts does go in on the number 1 terminal and come out on the 3 terminal and that their diagram on the back of the product is wrong and that he is going to put in to change it. He said that I found something that they weren't aware of. I am wondering if he knew what he is talking about.
What is ICM's technical support number. I am wanting to know if the power goes in on the load side of the schematic or the input side. Both products are showing the same info, and are probably made in the same factory for all I know.
