what is the safety devise of 06n carrier screw compressor to prevent the reverse rotation.sombody says there is one RRS switch for using this purpose.can anybody tell me the character of RRS switch.how does it works?

It's a low pressure switch connected to one of the two high pressure ports wired into the saftey chain , used on start up .

thank bubble for replay.but doubt is not clear.as comp. starting on reverse what sensing this low pressure switch?will discharge line going to vacum?

All protection is in the software of the chiller. When a compressor is replaced it comes with a vacuum switch that is installed on the discharge port of the compressor ,for a one time use in case motor windings are not correct.

How many times are you going to question my answer on the other board. Put the f'in switch on and you wont destroy ANOTHER compressor on startup. I can't do much more than give you the manual link, page and paragraph number which I already did. JMHO

Easy tek I personally don`t use the switch anymore I have alot of extras . On a gx putting a switch on is a pain .

He had a compressor rewound at a motor shop and aparently the leads were wrong and it crashed the screw. So checking ABC rotation was a non issue. THe switch would have saved the screw from crashing. JMHO
