When I'm on this part of the forums, I'm usually just reading what others have posted; however, I think this is important to pass along. This is a message that was forwarded to me.
================================================== =
"Hello everyone,
As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to 'The War Zone'. I wanted to share with you what happened.
He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.
As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn't say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.
So really he was just here to make a showing for the American's back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.
I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States . I just don't understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-in-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.
If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.
In service,
<Name Removed - American Soldier>"

completely false, something less intelligent people would believe.

Take it as you wish. You can believe it or not believe it, but the email did (supposedly--I got a copy of the email and not the original) come from an American Soldier who signed the email with his credentials (that I omitted). I'm simply passing it along to see what you all thought. And I don't consider myself a less-intelligent person, if that's what you were implying.

Took less than 30 seconds to debunk your post.

I do apologize. I posted this with no foresight of it being spam. The email actually came from a service-disabled veteran. Thanks.

OK, just did a search and cannot find anything about what Balack-Hussein did do while in Iraq. Did he do anything? Or was going to Iraq just a "change" of venue for him to talk more about nothing?

Barack Obama has folks like this guy Dennis Ross as his Middle East advisor, and the author of this article (http://antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=13183)speculates on just how high in an O'Bama admin this guy might just go...
We'll just be moving troops from one ME hellhole to another. So all you anti-war doves who think O'Bama is going to usher in your beloved "change", keep dreaming. He ain't changin' nothingk.
We'll see where O'Bama treats our troops, not so much how he treats them.
And did any of you catch his "citizen of the world" speech. Ya, a real gem this guy Barry...:rolleyes:

It is against campaign rules to use Military for campainging for President and Barak was advised not to mingle with the troops. He can only land on an Aircraft Carrier after or if he is elected. which I don't see Happening.

There seems to be quite a bit of contraversy as to whether Barack Obama could have visited American military personnel of not. The only place I see where Obama was not allowed access to for speaking from in Germany is the Brandenburg Gate. Seems that Obama wanted to give a speech from this location that Germany is very protective of and only reserved for current heads of state, not ambitious candidates.
So, Obama was not allowed a photo oportunity at the Brandenburg Gate and may have deliberately missed one with American soldiers. I'm surprised Obama did not request to give a speech while sitting on the Royal throne when he visited England.

I think the essence of the email is accurate. Would you be surprised? By not "factually correct," that could mean he got into a different type of car but all else is true. Spin control at work here... I don't think it's saying that the point of the message isn't true, but that the person who wrote the email is now denying it because he is in trouble for stating something political while in uniform. He didn't intend for this email to go public according to one of the articles jrbenny posted.

So, it appears that an actual email from an actual officer who actually was in Afghanistan while Barack Obama was visiting does indeed exist;
The News reported it wasn’t actually a hoax letter - though the military officially disputes the e-mail’s factual accuracy. The original poster attributed the message to an anonymous Air Force officer in the hope it would give the author, a Utah Army National Guard intelligence officer, some cover. But the Army captain’s wife had already forwarded it to others who posted the e-mail in full with the couple’s names.
In his e-mail (read the full text after the jump), the Task Force Wasatch “battle captain” beefed about the Illinois senator supposedly breezing into Bagram Airfield this week and blowing off G.I.s on his way to a staged photo-op to play basketball.
“I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don’t understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country,” the captain wrote.
Now the Bagram captain is dialing back, having signed the viral e-mail with his name, rank and unit - a possible violation of military regulations barring political statements. This morning, he sent The Mouth a new statement (punctuation corrected):
“I am writing this to ask that you delete my email and not forward it. After checking my sources, information that was put out in my email was wrong. This email was meant only for my family. Please respect my wishes and delete the email and if there are any blogs you have my email portrayed on I would ask if you would take it down too. Thanks for your understanding.”
An Army officer familiar with the incident told The Mouth today that the writer is “devastated that the letter was made public. It was never his intention that it go beyond members of his family.”
Even with certain innacurracies, which we don't know which parts are innacurate, there was an email detailing one of our military personnel feeling shunned. While this is just a perception of only one military officer and may not be "factually correct", it is not a fake email. It would be nice if the few gripes about Americans in Iraq that liberals flaunt so often were treated in the same fashion as this one is.

Can hardly wait to see how he treats the American public...And if they give him the chance, they deserve just what they get.

Just remember; it's only four years;).
The last time the Democrats sold the American voters a box of soap, he was washed up in his first term. At least President Clinton was a better manipulator.

He's a Bama if there ever was one. This guy who called himself Barry when he first ran for Chitown city council.
Barack ought to audition for one of those medieval video games. He could play the role of Shapeshifter.
He is O'Bama--of the house of Bama. :D
