Hi all. I had an insurance inspection of my boilers the other day. Inspector suggested that we start lubricating our plug valves that are geaseable. Sizes range from 6" to 10"

Here is the question on searching the web I haven't found anything about what kind/type of Lube or sealant to use. Any ideas?

Also the end fitting looks to be a button type grease fitting Any one know for sure what type and size?

I have some printed info if they are Nordstrums and you can't find anything on the net.

Thanks guys for the help. The valves are Resun and Homestead valves. Called Resun and got a lot of usefull info. They informed me that if the valve is not exercisced it needs to be relubed ever 6 months if used it may need to be relubed as much as ever 2 months. If not lubed may start having a leaking problem or not being able to shut them off. Couldn't get any info from Homestead. Talked to my insurance inspection again today, looks like they may start wanting documentation of the relubing. Just a heads up what maybe coming down the line.

Email me and I will send you a plug valve maintenance brochure.
Also, sources for lubricant/sealant, buttonhead fitting, HP grease guns, etc.
