Who is the very best residential/light commercial sales professional at HVAC Comfortech (http://HVACComfortech.com)? That's the question and the challenge. For the past six years we've run a salesmanship contest, loosely based on the American Idol pop music contest on television, and each year we've crowned a Comfortech Idol winner. This year, we're bringing back four past champions to battle it out for the title of Comfortech Grande Idol Champion.

This is a serious competition where each contestant is tested on their sales skills and ability to close. If you are an HVAC sales person, a manager, or just someone who enjoys a great competition, don't miss this Comfortech First.

This year's contestants are:

Jason Young, Comfortech Idol 2005
John Cameron, Jr., Comfortech Idol 2006
Jared Corpron, Comfortech Idol 2007Come watch Comfortech Idol if you want to see real HVAC sales professionals show their best objection-handling techniques, closing styles, and customer approach.

Great to hear from you John! For those of you who don't know, John not only won the contest in 2006, but he's entered into this year's Tournament of Champions. If you want to see sales excellence in action, join us in Atlanta on Thursday morning, Sept. 11th, following the opening general session to see John and two other past winners battle it out.

Odds are, you'll not only have fun, but you'll walk away with some ideas on how to improve your sales techniques, closing ratios, and build your customer base.

Hope to see you there!! And wish John good luck.

It's apparent that your first name must begin with "J" to win :D

Perhaps next year I'll enter as Josephine...

Although I'm against idolatry, I've attended the last two Comfortech Idols. I played Ryan Secrest, even though I don't know who he is. To figure it out, I'd have to watch the reach American Idol. Won't happen.

I've gotta admit, it's genius watching the top salespeople sell you on why they're better than the next guy. I've got pages of notes and plan on making these the focus of an upcoming Comanche.

The audio file is worth it just to hear Comfortech Idol.

Of course, what I really want to know is whether Simon is like Charlie Greer or Charlie Greer is like Simon. Maybe someone familiar with both can help.

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to use but I'd like to get in touch with Jamie Gerdsen. I had him as a speaker a few years ago, after he won his first Idol competition and I'd like to talk with him about returning as a speaker.

How would I get in touch with him?
