ave this unit installed Feb. 2007,, all indications are low on refrigerant. R 404 a unit, service stubs so removed charge installed tube type access fittings on the stubs,,,weighed in an exact charge, monitored the unit pulldow lasat night. Tonight she calls me at 9:00 and tells me that the box is forty degrees. I had her remove all o9f the product from the unit and turn it off. Yesterday. when I was there I checked for leaks in all accessable regrigeration piping etc.

What do I do to gain access to the evaporator? Do you repair this equipment, or just condemn it?

leak check around condenser coil, I've seen a few leak at the joint between cond. and discharge line. Small leak and hard to locate due to pressure differance when unit is off. Tubing is really thin and be sure you weigh charge exactly.
