how to find a job?

I'm in Toronto and I have my G3 license from George Brown, I have some co-op experience with the TTC and I worked part time with a company that did mostly high rise residential. What's the best way to look for a job? I'm considering calling a bunch of companies but I'm not sure what to say. Would it be better to go in person and hand in a resume?

do whatever you can, send resumes, check the helpwanted section of the news paper, goto online job boards, register with temporary service companies, call trade companies directly, walk onto jobsites with your cleanest work clothes and PPE and find the trade super.
