I've got a buddy who owns a home foundry. Casts parts for old windmills and stoves. It's called Stoves of Yesteryear. He'd let us come by if theres any interest. Would any of you guys like to do a cast iron pour? It's pretty damn cool to pour 3000 degree iron. If you wanna get close, bring leather boots. Ya dont want a drop of this crap getting on top of a tennis shoe. http://www.cnc.me.uk/IMAGES/cast%20iron/Pouring.jpg
It's so hot you cant even look at it. It'll burn your eyes without a face shield, and you wear a coat, even if its 120 in his shop. Hot stuff.
