Customer has Raypak 2342A 87 AFUE boilers -- what's the best gas leak detector & manometer (gas pressure working range is 5 to 10.5 inches WC) for this application.

Thx

I have both if these manometers. The uei works good, but I'm not a fan of uei and it's very bulky. The testo is great, love there products. It's very small like a cell phone, takes up less room and wieght, and has more fuctionality than the uei.

Digital manometers:

I bought a 477-FM-1 almost 10 years ago, and it is still going strong and still looks good too. Works great for gas pressure, differential gas pressure (negative pressure gas valves), pressure switches, duct static pressures, any pressure up to 20 inches positive or negative.

I see they have a few more models since I purchased mine, so you will have to look over the differences to determine which model has the features you want/need.

I am just wondering when you order/buy a 510 does it come with tubes or is that a separate kit?

It doe's not come with the tubes. When i got mine i opened it up right at the counter and then soon said where are the tubes. I got lucky and the guy at the parts counter had all kinds setting by his desk giving it away.

Tubes and probes are in a separate kit sold by true-tech. It comes with two dwyer static tips, 10' of tubing and a nipple for measuring gas pressure.

I have a cheap digital Supco manometer. It does the job, but is rediculously large in size. I wanted to go with a 510, but I needed a new one quickly and only had one choice for digital.

For a gas leak detector, I wanted to get the Bacharach Informant, I think it's called. It will do both refrigerant and combustible gasses. I couldn't find any reviews on it and decided to go a different direction.
