Does anyone know how to obtain a coupon code for this website? I would assume they give them out somewhere, since there is a place to input it at checkout. Thanks for any help.

If you have bought anything from them, you will get email offers from time to time that have a "discount code".
You can probably just register an account with them to start getting the emails.

I've wondered the same thing. I've spent a few hundred $$ there but never been given a code.

My local guy (united) doesn't have exactly what I am looking for. And I am noticing that they are a little steep on the prices for tools, in particular, compared to many online stores. That is why I am considering going this route. I hate shopping online, but I am just trying to save some dough.

I have used HVACR-Tools a few times. Great service and honest pricing. North of the border (Canada) we get rapped from the local shops.

Wish I had the online service here in Canada like you guys in the US....you have no idea how lucky you are!

Cheers

The local places around here pretty much cater only to the lowest common denominator, and it is a PITA to special order anything.
Can order a "non stock" item locally and maybe get it in a month of I'm lucky, or order it online and get it in 3 days for 25%+ less.

The local guys need to step it up. Can't get a 410a high side gauge replacement(thanks uniweld for plastic backed guages), no 11/32 nut driver and no Big Blue. Three strikes and you are on the internet. Neither houses had any of that stuff, the main one I shop at hasn't had a replacement gauge in a couple weeks. I still haven't seen a set of digital gauges in person. I guess that they really do cater to the lowest common denominator. Beer Can Cold Can-Do.

Ya,

Here locally (Canada) our local shops seem to cater to the lowest common denominator also....If I order yellow jacket product and they don't have it...3 weeks and like mark said its always more $$$$.

That being said the mechanics up here that truly care about their trade and the clients, the ones willing to invest $$$ into their tools, the ones willing to take to the time to get the job done right the first time.....very few.

I am looking for a Testo 330-2 LL combustion analyzer right now.....they are telling me almost a month and you don't even wanna know the price! And even funnier the local house was trying to tell me that TPI was better! Hmmmm he had them in stock.

Cheers

Coolnorth,
I know my Dad ships to Canada (trutechtools.com) Give him a shout. The canadian dollar and the US are almost identical, so now is the time to buy. :D
On his site he has a blog, he is showing some of the graphical capabilities of the 330 in one of the posts. If you are doing modulation equipment, the 330-2 and easy heat software is a great package.
