Friend of mine showed me his so I went to wally world and bought some. Suprisingly accurate, fits in your tool bag, and cheap! 20 bucks.
CLick on the FS50 model.

 I never take my tool bag when I go fishing!!!! Maybe you should purchase a never AC unit for the boat so you don't have too either.

Damn refrigerant is so expensive, I started weighing.

I have one 75lb refrigerant scale, and I moved my digital Berkley fishing scale from my tackle box & let 1 of my techs use it -- cheap & does the job!

Just ordered two, for when one adds some gas and doesnt want to drag out the electronic scales. Weigh the cylinder when you take it out of vehicle, and weigh it when you get done. Not to mention checking the recovery cylinder.

Thanks for the find.

These digital scales weigh to the ounce. I run a log on the square box the refrigerant comes in to track & round up after the job -- probably can get them cheap either from bass pro shops or walmart.

Doesn't take the place of a charging scale(could with care), but great for field service work.

What is the maximum weight the scale will show?

I've got an old AIRSERCO one that goes to 80 lbs.

Got it from and old timer who retired ten years ago and the thing is still going strong. They still sell them, probably pricey, but if it lasts 20+ years in the back of a service van, it's worth it.

This isnt to supplement a charging scale when you weigh in a charge, this is for when you have to add some and dont want to drag out a electronic scale.

Also to weigh your recovery cylinder for max weight.
