Have a reach in refrigerator and a walkin refrigerator that I took accurate readings on recently.

Cut in temp on the reach in = 33 degrees, cutout=43 degrees. (10 degree diff) 10 year old box.

Cut in on the walk in = 38 degrees, cutout=39 degrees. (1 degree diff) Box installed new 2007.

I believe they are both operating at undesireable cut ins and cut outs. Do you agree?

Note I have minimal experience to draw on and am looking for someone to agree me, at least in the text book sense. They should both have 3 to 5 degree differentials, right? FYI, they are both running fine, no problems. (Except the reach-in will skip a off cycle defrost once every 2 months, but it is not a problem other than that).

C.I.<---->C.O. are backwards ;)

It all depends what you are sensing as to where you might set the t-stat.

If like you said they are not broke
don't fix them ;)

Sorry but there are no magic settings or rules of thumb.
