So I got my stimulus check toys, tools tools not toys, tonight and have been familiarizing myself with them!!

those of you using the H2, do you use the rubber thingy that came with?
is it to plug the hole to get a better reading or does it do something I am not getting it to do?

on the 510 manometer, the magnets seem a little weak. they "stick" the maometer to the duct, but do not keep it in place, it slides down. is that normal?

thanks

You bought the same tools that I just bought with my stimulus check, though johnstone hasn't sent me mine yet, can you testo guys give a retailer on the west coast some stock I hate waiting for my new stuff. :(

I even have the two pockets in my tool bag waiting for them to arrive!

Testo will stock anyone that will pay for the inventory is my guess. The problem seems to be that most distributors don't want to stock anything but uei and fieldpiece. I know a place that has all of these items in stock and the owner of the company has over (sorry for telling your age Jim) 40 years in the service industry so he knows how valuable customer service is. Try www.trutechtools.com you will find a full inventory and great customer service. Just my .02 cents

Great customer service, calls you back, answers your questions, does everything he/they can to help out.

Thanks TrueTech

I have three H2's and never use the rubber thingy. I think it is to hold it in a duct, but you have to drill a hole large enough for it. I haven't really noticed how well the magnets on my 510 are doing. I did stick it to the side of a air handler one day and it stayed there, but it was only for a few seconds.

I'll second that.

I ordered my stuff and it showed up two days early. Never had that happen before. I will most definitely use them again.

I have been using the H2's for about 3 years now. I tossd the rubber thing and the pocket clip in my junk box. Never have found a use for them. ;)

I drill a 1/2" hole, which is the perfect size for inserting the H2, and/or my fiber optic scope.

The rubber plug is good if you happen to already have a bigger hole in the duct work. I think I might have used mine once or twice.

My 510 sticks very well on the times that I have tried it.

got my my h2 two weeks ago from trutechtool.com and i love it. one of the best tool investments i've ever made. the rubber is of very little use, i just use a vari bit for a 1/2" hole. don't have the 510 yet. but i do have the 810 and love it, gets quick approach temps on the same device so i trust it
