We just recieved ours at the branch at controls class tonight and we can not get it to connect to the AHU in our trainer demo we have set up.

Our guys who have cvt100's and serial ports get to work. I have a new 6910p and have the edgeport set to com port 1 in device manager and it comes up wirh comm failure in hvac pro.

Is flow control set to none on the comm port?

9600, 8, none , 1 , none

usb drivers, installed and up to date? WINXP?

No other apps using Comm1?

Zonebus or N2. Did you try both?

In the device manager I see nothing else on comm 1 or 2 ...... the green and yellow loghts blink and red is constant.

Hmmm, I dont know. I know (a few years back) that some serial buses on newer computers had issues simular to this.

Thank you . I checked the manu website and I do have the latest driver. We are going to try a few other cbles and cvt's and see what we can come up with. Our regional IT man is located at our branch so I am going to bug him tommorow(he left before class) and see what he says. Thanks

I am sure there is "run" command, I dont know it. Do you have any Fax software running. Maybe in the preinstalled garbage you get on a new PC?

I used my edgeport today to direct connect to a delta controls networks using the edgeport and the delta controls serial connector, so I know the edgeport is working.

I have not had a chance to ue the new cvtpro I got tuesday but when I do , which will be tuesday night at class, i will let you know.

I had the same problem. I installed HVAC PRO 8.08B which took care of the USB
driver problem. The HVAC PRO 8.08"B" is needed for the edgeport to function
with the cvt's.
