Looking for a air filter that will stay in the opening better. Looked at the electrostatic filters as the metal frames will hold up better. So, are they a good product or cause problems with air flow

Why not get an opening that holds the filter better?
The electrostatic will cause airflow problems unless your ducts are sized properly.
You may want to consider a high efficiency media filter.

Big tumbs down on that filter.. Get someone in to fit you a good media filter as last post said.
Look into the AprilAire or Honeywell F200 or Airbear.

They work for 3 months and you can't have humidity, but then break down and become too restrictive and start heating motor up until they quit. They will make your motor use more power.

I have used them in the past but they are a problem. Most have multiple layers and once dust and lint work there way in past the first layer it is imposible to wash out. Use 30 % Filters and maybe some foam tape to build a sealing surface in your grille.
