Ok, I have installed a new true steam with an IAQ stat. here in Vegas we have very little humidity. In the past I use a Nortec resdelux and relays to allow humidity year round, yes even in cooling mode. (i know defeats the purpose) however my salesman sold this with all honeywell. my problem is it will only allow me to run humidity in the heat mode with or without call for heat. any of you IAQ stat guys know any tricks, otherthan removing the stat and installing relays??

No, there is no way around that other than doing a relay. I think it's a waste of water by doing that in the summer months, if the home is too dry, have the dealer speed up the blower to 450Cfm/ton

You have to go to a humidistat to use the humidifier. The IAQ won't humidify in the cool mode.

I thought the True steam came with its own humidistat, that can be wired up to run the fan without adding relays.

He's on the money, you have a good hum. and a good stat. but if you need humidity wile cooling you'll have to use the Honeywell controller

I was hoping the iaq stat would work in the cool mode. Yes it comes with the standard humisistat, i'll just re-wire with relays. Our humidity is less than 10%. If it had a variable speed it would help.... Thanx for your help, figured thier might be something i missed............

prob is i only have enough wires for a standard t-stat. cust wants to regulate humidistat from stat not duct... No prob, will install a digistall stat and have to run x-tra wire for a humidistat..... being in vegas suks when it comes to humidification.... water suks here. with nortec have to use a rev=osmosis the add a calcium drip sysytem, just to last 6mos. thanx again....
