Hello,
I am new here, and I am here because of this problem. Hope you guys will help me.

I am working on an airquest heat pump. The contacotr will not pull in. I am gtting 24 volts on my red and yellow wires outside. I have replaced, the defrost control board, the contactor, and the reversing valve solenoid. Its still not pulling in. all the T-stat wires go through the defrost board. I assumed it was bad. I have yet to change the t-stat but I am getting 24 outside??? I think airquest got sold or something and i am having a hard time getting any input here.

ever had this problem pls help I am stumped.

If you are a technician, you'll get better replies in the Pro forum.

If not, DIY is against the forum rules.

You replaced a RV solenoid because the contactor will not pull in?

I'd say it's time to call in a pro.

you need a technician to diagnose the problem, just changing parts is bad to do:mad:

I am a certified tech. I have been working on HVAC equip for years. I can see from your comments you are just as stumped as I so keep your hating to yourself. I am certain that anyone who is in this biz long enough has come across a few problematic issues such as this one. if not then I guess i googled the wrong forum. I was hoping to get some advice that is actually worth my time reading here....I guess we will see. I do not have the time to register for the pros forum, I have a lady who is seriously not happy, and her apt is 90 degrees. The Compressor runs fine when the contactor is pushed in. once again pls help.

if your getting 24v to on the red and yellow wire either the tstat or a saftey switch isnt letting the power pass, is telling you that u have an open circut

you should have 24 v on yellow and common then the contact will pull in,

The commpressor may run when you manually push the contactor, but is it running "fine"? Or is it going off on a low pressure switch?

That will be enough helping for the evening.
