Installing a Trane 803 TStat on a Trane 3.5 ton, XL15i single stage AC unit and a Trane VS air handler with one 10kw heat strip. I want Enhanced Mode enabled as well as the humidistat (dehumidification) mode enabled on the TStat.
Am I correct in using Fig. 5 on page 3 in the 803 TStat I/O manaul for the A/C unit and Figure 7 on page 3 for the air handler? Connecting Y&B of the A/C unit to Y&B/C of the A/H terminal block? Or do I just wire the TStat as shown in Figure 6 and remove the jumper between R & BK and do not use O?
The jumper between R & BK on the termianl strip was factory installed and I left that connected but the I/O manual for air handler states to remove that jumper and jump between R & O if using a humidistat. The Comfort-R pocket guide states to remove th R/BK jumper if humidistat is enabled but leave the jumper in if using Enhanced Mode.
As it's wired now, I am using R,Y,G,W1 & B/C on the terminal block of the A/H.
Is this the correct wiring for this unit?
Thanx,
