hi everyone, I am still having trouble setting the superheat on low temp equipment. I am working on a two door reach in freezer and need to adjust the expansion valve or at least make sure it is working properly. I usually wait until inside temp is around 8 degrees before I start checking superheat the goal is a 0 degree box. Can you guys help me and give me your ideas and your proceedure for adjusting superheat on low temp. Thanks for any help, Paul

A quick check on the TXV would be to stick the bulb in a cup of hot water... your suction pressure should rise within a few seconds. Actual superheat for that coil, I believe, should be around 4 to 6 degrees or so.
