It's Saturday; you must be a Seventh Day Adventist;)
Even though being Christian is not a requirement for me for a president, true Christian values (those taught directly by Jesus Christ) are certainly what I believe a president should be following in his or her life.

Killing anyone is not a Christian value. Thou shalt not kill is also not one of the Ten Commandments. The commandment is "Thou shalt not commit murder" which has very specific conotations to it.
I'm with ya on the blue agave though. That is, unless it becomes so popular that I have to kill someone to get it:confused:

Nope. Your eyesight is just fine. This is just one of many errors in the KJV version of the Bible. There are several ancient copies of this Biblical text that have the ancient Greek and Aramaic words that have been more correctly translated to say; "Thou shalt not commit murder", not "Thou shalt not kill".
Please, our error has been corrected, please let's perpetuate the Truth rather then our error. Thank You.

Try Hebrew. 10 commandments is OT.

Hebrew Testament (Old Testament) writings have been found in both ancient Greek dating after Christ and in Aramaic (Dead Sea Scrolls) dating before Christ. Hebrew is a relatively new language, although Strong's Concordance does refer to the Aramaic as Hebrew.

My error. Seems that a form of Hebrew predates Aramaic. Aramaic replaced Hebrew as the spoken language of the Jews first, but some of the Dead Sea Scrolls are written in Aramaic.
Seems that Aramaic replaced Hebrew in writing after the Greek Hellenistic period. Aramaic appears to be a somewhat common language that Greeks, Romans and Jews could all relate to in doing business in the Middle East 2000 years ago.

Probably Rich Mullins greatest song. Great musician. Sorry that he died. I saw him at Cornerstone just a few months before he died.

I don't think is was error, per se. "Kill" was the terminology use in the KJV, first English version. The word "murder" was not in that vocabulary, if I recall my studies correctly. "Kill" was the closest thing to the real thing and likely correct for the 1600's.
And ya can't blame this on the Catholic Church for sure. They kept it in Latin so No ONE could understand it, pretty much giving them a pretty positive control over what Scripture said and didn't say.
