Can anyone recommend a good, safe chemical cleaning agent for cooling tower coils......

It,s a marley towerwith plastic coils...can you recommend process for other mfg..i.e. evap co, etc...and aluminum? Thank you sir......
What absrbrtek said. Fire hose and nozzle. The plastic "coils" you mentioned is called tower "fill", some people like to refer to it as "eggcrate", but its called fill. If it has some white lime/calcium on it, leave it alone, its not gonna hurt, unless its soooo crusted you can't get adequate flow through it. Otherwise don't mess with it, especially if the fill is old, it'll fall apart, and its expensive to replace. Look at a reputable water treatment company to take care of your tower water. Basically, use a good biocide, inhibitor, and keep conductivity around 1800 (We use Nalco)
